Constitution Revisions

The AIP Constitution and Bylaws were revised in 2003/4 and accepted by the AIP Membership at the 2004 AGM, held at Melbourne University on February 13, 2004. The primary reason for revising these documents was to simplify the grades of membership. Gender specific references were also removed and some clauses were removed or modified to more accurately reflect the services and operations of the AIP. The new grades of membership are: Associate, Member, Fellow and Honorary Fellow.

The AIP membership committee was never defined in the constitution.  The omission was rectified when the AIP Council approved a new by-law, number 74, at its Annual General Meeting in February 2015.
